Lesson Booking Terms
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Who provides your lessons
Your contract is with The Voice Hub Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16979859. Our registered office is 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA. Please contact admin@thevoicehub.org about bookings, cancellations or complaints.
These terms cover individual singing and voice lessons. Corporate engagements and any courses, events or programmes with separate terms are agreed in writing before booking.
2. Making a booking
New students should use our new-student enquiry route. Existing students may use the agreed booking route, including the Opus student portal where available.
An enquiry does not reserve a lesson or create a contract. A booking is confirmed when the lesson details, price and applicable terms have been agreed and we have confirmed the booking in writing, including through our booking platform.
A parent or guardian must make and accept bookings for a student under 18. The parent or guardian is the contracting customer and is responsible for payment and booking communications.
3. Prices and payments
Before you commit, we will provide the teacher, lesson duration, location or online format, total price including any applicable taxes, payment method and payment timing. Please check these details and raise any errors before accepting.
Any package conditions, including the number of lessons, validity period, transfers, cancellation and unused-credit arrangements, must be provided before purchase. No additional deadline or package restriction should be assumed from these general terms.
Nothing in a booking or package condition removes your statutory rights.
4. Cancelling a lesson
Please notify us through your agreed booking route or email admin@thevoicehub.org as soon as you know you cannot attend. Notice is measured against the scheduled lesson start time, using the time you send your email or submit the platform cancellation request.
The usual cancellation charges are:
48 hours or more: no charge.
24 hours to less than 48 hours: 50% of the lesson fee.
Less than 24 hours: 100% of the lesson fee.
These charges protect against losses caused by reserved teaching time and room hire. We will reduce a charge to reflect costs saved or income received from a replacement booking. A charge will not exceed our reasonable net loss after taking reasonable steps to minimise it. We will not recover the same loss twice.
The Musical Director may waive or reduce a charge as a goodwill gesture. This discretion does not limit any refund or other remedy you are legally entitled to receive. Statutory cancellation rights take priority over these notice bands.
5. If we change or cancel a lesson
If we cannot provide a confirmed lesson, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible. You may choose an agreed replacement lesson or a refund for the lesson we cannot provide.
We will not require you to accept a different teacher, format or time without your agreement. If a wider course or package is affected, we will explain the available arrangements and any applicable rights. These arrangements do not remove other remedies available under consumer law.
6. Statutory cancellation rights
Where consumer law gives you a cancellation right for a contract agreed online, by email, by telephone or away from our business premises, you normally have 14 days beginning the day after the contract is formed to cancel without giving a reason.
You can cancel by emailing admin@thevoicehub.org or by making another clear statement of your decision. Where required, we will provide the statutory cancellation information and model cancellation form before you commit; using that form is optional.
If you want lessons to begin during that period, we must obtain your express request before starting. If you subsequently cancel, we may charge a proportionate amount for services already provided, only where the legal conditions permit this. The cancellation right is lost following full performance only where you requested early performance and acknowledged beforehand that full performance would end that right.
Any applicable statutory exception will be explained before booking. We do not assume that every singing lesson or package is exempt because it involves a scheduled appointment. Statutory refunds will be made within the applicable legal timescale.
7. Teaching and participation
We will provide lessons with reasonable care and skill. Teaching is educational and does not replace assessment or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional. Please tell your teacher if an exercise causes pain or discomfort so that teaching can be adjusted appropriately.
Individual progress varies. Any discussion of goals or possible outcomes does not replace our obligation to provide the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.
8. Complaints and your rights
Please send complaints to admin@thevoicehub.org. We aim to acknowledge them within two working days and generally resolve them within 30 days. We will keep you informed of progress, explain proposed actions and timescales, and provide a written outcome.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
English and Welsh law applies, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings in courts available to you under applicable law.
